The innocent 12-year-old girl who was struck by a stray bullet in her Long Island home has died, Nassau County Police said Sunday.

Young Dejah Joyner fought for 26 hours before she died from her wounds Saturday evening at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, police said.

Dejah was standing in her living room on Dartmouth St. in Hempstead when a bullet came whizzing through the window around 5 p.m. Friday, authorities said.
