Get ready for Tom Hardy’s cheekiest role yet.
The British actor bared it all as he filmed a revealing river scene for his new British TV mini-series “Taboo” in Essex, England last week — and fans got a sneak peek (and then some) courtesy of some long lens cameras.
Hardy stars in the upcoming eight-part drama series as James Keziah Delaney — a courageous adventurer who returns to Britain from Africa to seek revenge for his father’s death.
It’s just the latest nude role for the London-born actor, who also famously stripped down in the 2008 British drama, “Bronson,” as well as in a 2011 American short film titled, “Sergeant Slaughter, My Brother.”
The actor has earned considerable notoriety in recent years for his leading roles in acclaimed blockbusters such as “The Dark Knight Rises” and “Mad Max: Fury Road” — and he’s up for best supporting actor at this month’s Academy Awards for his role in the “The Revenant.”
“Taboo” will air on FX in America and on BBC in England. It is expected to premiere this summer.
